Accreditation
The College of Applied Sciences, Karthikappally, under the Institute of
Human Resources Development (IHRD), is committed to achieving NAAC
accreditation by enhancing its academic quality, infrastructure, student
support, and governance systems. The college aims to provide a well-rounded
educational experience, aligning with the NAAC’s seven criteria for assessment.
1. Curricular
and Academic Excellence: Strengthening the curriculum in IT, Commerce,
Management, and emerging disciplines, ensuring it meets industry standards and
academic rigor. Introducing innovative teaching methods, including e-learning
and interdisciplinary approaches, to foster student engagement and knowledge
application.
2. Infrastructure
Development: Improving and expanding state-of-the-art facilities like
smart classrooms, modern laboratories, and libraries to support effective
learning. The college will ensure that all facilities meet the needs of the
students and faculty and are conducive to an advanced learning environment.
3. Research
and Innovation: Encouraging faculty and students to engage in
research, development, and innovation. The college will promote research
activities, encourage publication, and create a collaborative atmosphere for
knowledge exchange.
4. Student
Support and Progression: Strengthening student support services such
as counseling, career guidance, placements, and skill development programs. The
college will enhance extracurricular activities to promote holistic development
and ensure high placement rates for its graduates.
5. Governance
and Leadership: Implementing transparent governance structures with a
focus on efficient management, strategic planning, and decision-making
processes. The college will also promote leadership development programs for
both students and faculty.
6. Sustainability
and Community Engagement: Incorporating practices that promote
environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and community engagement.
This includes promoting green initiatives, waste management, and organizing
outreach programs to support local communities.
